Utility

As a potter I understand the ORIGINS of CERAMICS were rooted in the purpose of utility. Pots FUNCTIONED as VESSELS to hold food and water. today, that FUNCTION has EXPANDED, over CENTURIES, to containing ideas. Pots have the beautiful ABILITY to stand in both places: that of AESTHETIC thought and of UTILITARIAN craft. These objects are made with the CONSIDERATION of UTILITY.
